Cameroon 2017

A look back at our mission in Cameroon in 2017: exhortation, teaching, and deliverance

In 2017, Messiah Christian Broadcasting Network (MCBN) had the immense privilege of meeting brothers and sisters in Christ in Cameroon, in Yaoundé. This trip was a powerful time marked by exhortations, biblical teachings, and concrete actions for the body of Christ.

Among the highlights, our brother Georges Nama had a frank discussion with one "Apostle Julius," attempting to open his eyes to certain visible compromises in "his church." Specifically, it involved the construction elements of his building, which unknowingly incorporated architectural symbols associated with Masonic lodges. This reminds us of the importance of avoiding mimicry unless done with full awareness. Georges also criticized the excessive privileges granted to pastors and their spouses, who are often seated on luxurious throne-like chairs, while the most destitute faithful—those who should be most honored—are relegated to plastic chairs.

During this trip, a visit was organized to a local church in the Mokolo neighborhood. The brothers from Yaoundé taught on the essential distinction between God and His Son, Jesus Christ, enabling the assembly to better grasp biblical truths. It was also an opportunity to practice Acts 2:42, living moments of communion, sharing bread, prayer, and teaching.

We also had the opportunity to speak on the airwaves of Triomphe FM, a radio station broadcasting in the capital. The brothers strongly denounced the abominations within the body of Christ, exposing the actions of false servants who distort the Gospel.

Another highlight of this mission was the teaching on deliverance from sexual debauchery, addressed particularly to young brothers and sisters in Christ. This exhortative message emphasized the purity and holiness necessary for walking in obedience to the Lord.

Finally, various actions were undertaken to support the body of Christ in local communities, with the aim of bringing light and truth where confusion and darkness reign.

We give glory to God for this trip to Cameroon, which awakened consciences, corrected in love, and built up the Church in truth.

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayer."
